What we've been doing...
In math we've begun our fractions unit. Students are learning how to generate equivalent fractions, as well as comparing fractions. It is VERY important that students are able to find common denominators, as it will be the building block of everything we'll be learning in this unit, moving forward. If your child want's some extra practice finding the Least Common Multiple, they can play a game found here.
During science the students have continued to learn about systems, focusing specifically on the different systems of the Earth.
In Language Arts we have started two different short writing pieces focusing on generating ideas for writing.
In Social Studies we have been learning about the Articles of Confederation and why we started over with the Constitution. Happy Constitution Day!
