What's going on.....
Math: The students took the Unit 4 Math test on Thursday. I will get those graded over the weekend and you can expect to see the tests in Friday folders next week. We will be starting Unit 5 next week. The students will be learning different methods for division and then moving to division of decimals.
Science: We are finishing up Investigation 2 on Models. The students did an experiment today on melting. Please ask your student about the process of melting and how heat affects solid materials.
Reading: Both classes are still working on the Wonder Unit. We are focusing lessons on characters and their motivations in the book.
March is Reading Month is in full swing! Whitecaps tracking sheets went home this week and will take the place of the Book It calendar this month. Students initial each day they read and parents sign at the end of the month. These can be turned in after Spring Break.
Language Arts: We have been wrapping things up this week with the project. Next week we will begin our timed non-fiction writing for this unit.
Social Studies: Students are working on their colony poster. These will be finished next week and shared with the class.
Central Carnival is March 23 from 6:00-8:00
