Math: This week we have been reviewing unit 3 for our test on Wednesday. Your students should have had their study guide signed and let you know about this upcoming test. Remind your students that Miss Francis is available during independent work time to offer any math help. I have been pulling students during this time throughout the week.
Science: This week we did an experiment to separate a salt water solution. We evaporated the salt water and it resulted in salt crystals. It might be neat to talk about this investigation with your student. You can also ask them about the vocabulary words mixture, solution, solvent, and solute.
Language Arts: This week we have continued to type up our Famous American Informational Books. At home students should begin their Time Capsule if they haven't already. These should be done by February 5. Pictures of example Time Capsules are still below with last week's update. They stay at home until Famous American Night on February 26-to keep them safe! The note about the tri-fold board was due today. If you are able to buy a board, please do so by February 5. I will go over directions for the board after students have one. Let me know if you have any questions!
Social Studies: This week we continued learning about the different English settlements of the colonies.
