Math: The students have been rocking our unit on multiplication! I love seeing their excitement when something "clicks"!
Science: Science test scores are coming home today. It is very important that you initial/sign the cover page and SEND IT BACK Monday. I will add the next test score to the same page. If your child did not earn an 80% or better, they also have an extension project. The extension projects are due by February 17th (the last day before mid-winter break).
Language Arts: This week we have finished up our books! Students should be putting the finishing touches on their Time Capsule and should have their board purchased by Monday. Please do not have them work on the board yet, just have it at home and in a safe place. We also took a spelling test. New words will be given out next week.
Social Studies: This week we finished learning about early settlements like Jamestown and Plymouth.
1) They bring enough for everyone (we don't want any hurt feelings)
2) If they add a piece of candy to their valentine (many come with candy now), it does NOT contain peanut products.
If your child wants to put everyone's name on each individual valentine, that is fine. Have them ask me for a class list. If they would prefer to simply sign their Valentines, that works too! There are 27 students in both classes :)
