What we're doing...
Reading: We started our non-fiction unit in reading. The students did an excellent job using boxes and bullets to take notes while reading their self-selected non-ficiton book! They also went to the library to check out a book on their famous American (more about that below).
Social Studies: We took our Native American test at the end of the week. I was very proud of how well students were preparing. Thank you for supporting them by going over the study guide and making sure they are ready! Thank you also to the many parents who went on the trip to Blandford Nature Center. We had a beautiful day and came back with more knowledge about the Native American cultural area we live in!
Language Arts: Students have been assigned their famous American and most have checked a book out of the library to start reading. As of right now, that is all they should be doing. You are welcome to go to the public library if our library did not have a book and to look at online resources. I told students this would be with your supervision. We are just getting to know our famous American at this time. There is a blue note about the project in the Friday folder that should be signed and sent back to school on Monday. Thank you!
Science: Our second science test will be on MONDAY. Please help your child study (a study guide and flashcards went home on Tuesday/Wednesday). I also have the quizlet embedded below. In addition, if your child didn't pass their first science test, please have them turn in their extra credit project asap.
