Math: We didn't have much time for Math this week due to MSTEP testing. Monday and Friday we were able to work with dividing decimals. We spoke about how to solve the problem when the decimal is in the divisor. The students also learned how to convert the remainder of a division problem into a decimal. We will continue working on this next week.
Science: In Science this week we used Sun-Trackers to learn how shadows change throughout the day based on the position of the sun in the sky. We also talked about what causes day and night to occur. Today the students did an investigation with mini globes to discover which way the Earth rotates.
Language Arts: This week we took the ELA M-Step test so I focused on Social Studies this week.
Social Studies: This week we learned about Patriots and Loyalists and began learning about the Declaration of Independence.
