What's been going on...
Math: We haven't had much of an opportunity to meet this week, due to MSTEP. Next week will also have minimal meeting time. Look for scores from the unit 5 test in Friday Folders.
Science: We've been spending a lot of time this week looking at how shadows change shape and orientation, and then digging in to WHY that happens. We'll begin looking at day/night next week. There are some pictures below from an experiment where we recreated shadows from outside using our flashlights.
Social Studies -This week we have looked at colonial life and what daily life would look like during the 1600's and 1700's.
Language Arts -This week we continued working on our persuasive writing ideas. Students who want to participate with Brainstormers will need to turn in their stories by next Friday, April 21. Students have had a few times in class to start working on a story if they wanted to. They will need to be finished on their own and can be typed or hand written. Spelling will start back up next week!
